I noticed that the current MIxS terms include Salinity twice:

Was there a reason for this, and is that reason still valid? I would suggest we remove the later as i wouldn't describe salinity as an "unusual property".

If we remove it we should also consider changing the related term "extreme_unusual_properties/salinity method" to just "salinity method".

I also just noticed we have "sample salinty" as well!

I think high salinity will be an extreme property for soils, and in the case of marine systems not. If my thinking is correct, I am in favor of keeping the separate salinity terms.
I think sample salinity is only present in cases where salinity is not a very obvious measurements, i.e human packages. Again, in favor of not changing it
